I recently became certified in Health Coaching through ACE ( American Council on Exercise).
Health coaches guide their clients to make weight- related behavioral changes through goal- setting, education, motivation, programming, support, appropriate progressions, and referral when necessary.
This certification along with my Weight Loss Coaching and Personal Training certificates allows me to become full service for my clients and prospective clients. I can structure workout plans, create accountability and consistency while dealing with people with health issues such as diabetes and obesity.
I am now equipped to empower individuals to achieve healthier lifestyles with making behavior changes in their lives.
I have always had a passion for nutrition, physical fitness and helping people to achieve their goals. I am extremely concerned about the data regarding the health issues of many Americans. Obesity is the second leading cause of preventable death in the United States with 68.3% of adults are categorized as overweight or obese in 2008. The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey using measures of body mass index in 2010, (BMI) indicates that 16.9% of all children and adolescents ages 2 to 19 are now obese with much larger numbers now, that it is 2014. It is estimated that by 2015, more than 40% of U.S. adults will be obese.
We know so much about the importance of healthy eating, exercise and living a healthy lifestyle. Lifestyle changes can prevent many health issues such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, heart disease and cancers. There are way too many situations with adults getting diagnosed with health problems. We are in much more control of our health than previously believed. An enormous amount of health issues can be prevented by consistently exercising, eating healthy and making lifestyle changes.
I am distraught by too many stories of so many young parents, grandparents, friends and spouses prematurely dying.I am passionate about fighting all these diseases by doing what I know makes a enormous difference….lifestyle changes including behavioral changes, education, accountability, support and consistency.
